Hi! I’m Carol, a holistic healer specializing in Reiki since 2023.

I am a wife and mother to my favorite humans! :) We also have a cat, Olive, and a dog, Possum!

My Work & Journey to Reiki

I have always worked in positions focused on helping others, including as a nursing home aide, hospital nursing assistant, emergency department tech, oncology office assistant, state unemployment worker, and case manager. Helping people has always been a calling for me.

Before starting my most recent job, I had weeks of waiting before training began. During that time, I would imagine a superhero above my head, radiating positive energy into the world. Looking back, I see this as a clear sign of why energy healing is so important to me!

I began practicing Reiki as part of my own health and wellness journey. Over the past four years, I have made a conscious effort to become the best version of myself—through therapy, self-love, and healing from past traumas. I am a work in progress, and Reiki has been an essential part of my daily healing.

Family & Spiritual Background

I grew up in a family that practiced spiritualism. We would use “hand healing,” where we placed our hands on a person’s shoulders and prayed for their needs—whether for better health, guidance, or support. I believe prayer is a form of Reiki, and I have always prayed while surrounding myself and others with white light. The “Light” in Balanced Light Healing is a reflection of that practice.

Why Reiki?

My life experiences—and my final leap into creating my own business—came when I became a mother. I wanted to focus my energy on the things that truly bring me joy: my family, my friends, and helping others heal. I am deeply passionate about energy healing, and I now realize it has always been part of my life. It began with prayer, and now it continues through Reiki.
